
Those who go against these laws are punished through imprisonment for their wrong doings. In this city, people are responsible to uphold laws and restrictions as an ever-growing society. Despite all the great aspects this city offers, it does have imperfections that are not blindly turned away from.

There are various stores that have bright lights on their windows with clothing or jewelry on display stores that have devices exhibited in their displays that are not familiar to those who come from the city of Omelas buildings high enough to reach further than the clouds a place where adults bring their children to watch them play as they sit in great distance on benches that are placed below the trees and places where there is food that has the ability to go beyond ones expectations. The ones from Omelas who end up here do not know what they are for, but those people who wore those uniforms have a sense of authority towards the city. This place has people who wear uniforms that ride on vehicles that occasionally circle the town. The wind blew in such a beautiful way as it can be seen through the leaves flowing helplessly off the ground and in the midst of the air. The skies were filled with clouds that hid the sun’s bright light. The path leads to a city of imperfections: crimes arising at night, poverty near the alleyways, and roads in dire need of repair some things that Omelians have not seen before. Some individuals give up others continue to the unknown and eventually arrive at a place that is better than the city of Omelas. For the ones who walked away from Omelas, the thought of the child in the cellar slowly diminishes the farther they get into the abyss. As they walk away into the abyss of the unknown one thing is certain, they know that they are not walking away from happiness, but from a place with a secret that had the ability to influence one’s mind towards those who choose to stay.
